Wenger Q: Will a normal blade replace a broken locking blade?

Question: if I have a knife with a locking mechanism, can I replace the blade with a different blade, and retain the locking feature? Or do I need to look for another locking blade? Fully serrated locking blades are hard to come by on a Wenger, but fully serrated normal blades are easy to find.
