The full moon was last week, I call shenanigans!
Maybe the picture was taken last week? Maybe I've only just got my thumb back to plug a USB in and transfer the pic  :pok:

Sound legit to me Pabs
Fine. I'll consider it genuine.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Day 30

Today I used the scissors for lose tread on clothing and the blade for some minor whittling on a stick for our son. I did not manage to take pics from it, sorry.

Here's one from a walk this morning, hope that's ok too...

Sooo.... What's the verdict of the 30 days limited to only the Yeomatt for EDC?

Before I made this mod SAK I settled down to a Climber for the usual office day EDC (coming from a Compact before). The can opener was used as a Phillips driver more frequently than I thought it would.

I was happy with that for about 5 month until I started missing a magnifier  and a "proper" Phillips driver. So I came up with this plan...

Mind you that I always have my Cybertool 41 and my Rebar+ in reach usually. But for this challenge I did not use them!

The bad:
Seriously, nothing really. I did miss the small blade 2 times and the awl once.
And once I thought it could use a saw
A saw is always handy for the walk along the river with our son.

The hardest part though was not to carry my Rebar+ or all the other SAKs and MTs  :ahhh

The good:
All tools were used often enough to justify their place between the 3 layers  :tu:
I think the pictures in this thread do show that.
Oh, and the combo-tool works fine for me too. No complaints.
But most importantly, the Yeomatt did not fall apart or develop any fault  :D

And I still like the yellow scales :like:

So here you have it. The Yeomatt will stay for sure and is my all time favourite so far. And since it bit me twice over this challenge it belongs to me like Excalibur to Arnold...no... wait... Arthur  :SAKnight:

Here it is before I pulled it out of the stone...

And here after...

Have a good weekend you awl  :salute:

Matt

Nice review and it has been pure joy to do the challenge with you!

I use the small blade way to much to do something similar but at least we share those pretty yellow scales!

My pleasure kompis
Three layers is the max for watch pocket (5th pocket) carry for me, so it's a bit of a compromise always.

If we go into the park or to the river etc. tomorrow I'll be happy to take the Farmer out after one month not carrying it  :D

I just read through this great thread. Thanks for all the pictures, insight, and showing me what my perfect SAK would be. I typically carry a Climber during the week, then switch to an Explorer for the weekend. Whenever I have the Explorer, I find a use for the magnifier, and will default to the 3D Phillips. I think the Yeomatt would make a 7-day carry for me. One day, I’ll collect parts, and the knowledge to do this mod myself.
Thanks. :salute:
