Love the personalized 58mm Syem!

Thanks! I'm not sure about the name placement though... Maybe having it start a little more towards the bottom of the knife...

Day 9

Little Wonky has become my go-to 58mm so far, mostly due to me not worrying about messing it up.  It's seen here next to a titanium pill bottle that was gifted to me by the maker.
It was pristine for the longest time, then one day I decided I'm going to use it, I'm glad I did, I have enjoyed it.

Lovely knife and pill-bottle!

Life's too short to stuff a mushroom FoBo. Might as well use stuff if you feel like it. And you can't beat titanium whatever it is  :like:

Nice pic Vic!

Day 9

Triple-threat tag-teaming with an OC Electrician Plus and a Spirit to replace this EU plug with a Swiss plug. Imagine ordering a device in Switzerland from a Swiss company and receiving this.....

Thanks Syem!

DAY 9

I used the scissors on the Executive to cut some paracord for a lanyard.

 Thanks Lisa, it actually had that slogan on the scales!  This was part of a series SMKW offered last year, along with a Tinker with a series of similar scales.  I bought one of each Classic and have them to my family.  I kept this one.  Bill, your Classic is what inspired me to break this one out of the box for this Challenge.  Here's a couple pics.  Not the best, but I snapped them with my tablet.  On a different note, the Executive made it to the Summit of Mount Washington!

That looks excellent Barry and nice to see it. The LE Classics can be quite quirky but that's what's great about them.

Now, Mount Washington, I think I read about in Bill Bryson's book about the Appalachian Trail. You'd need something pretty rugged up there. Yep, an Executive would do just fine  :tu:

That's the one Bill.  I have that book and can't stop laughing!  I was supposed to be on that climb too, but couldn't make it.  I'd love to do it with a Mountaineer :D

Good choice. I do like the Mountaineer ... though I never quite got the titanium Uhli Stahl (?) series.

I have a few of Brysons books including one on the English language. All funny and interesting to boot.

Day 9.

I know what you mean FB sometimes the worn beater ends up being your favorite go to SAK.

This guy for example. I paid less then $8 delivered. The jewelers SD is bowed and the awl tip is bent. When I got it it was not in what I would call working shape. The scissors screw was to loose to use, the awl tip was blunt and the jewelers SD was to messed up to work on small screws like eye glass screws. A few minutes on the diamond stone and tighten up the scissors and everything works the same as the day it came off the factory floor.

If I screw it up I'm only out the price of a six pack of beer. This is why it's become one of favorite SAK's.

Jeep the SAK of the auto world or is it SAK the Jeep of the Knife world?

Day 10 I believe.

Based on an original idea by Barry my Rambler is today posing as a hood ornament. Now, this leads me to three questions:

a] didn't they have something similar on Jeeps in WWII ?
and
b] 58mm might not be the right size on a Subaru?
and
c] is it time for a "SAK's as hood / bonnet* ornament" thread?

*to avoid any transatlantic confusion although I can foresee some witty clothing or pepper based postings

Over to the jury ....

It's not the right season to wear a bonnet (I'm no hipster either :D )
I would use a 130mm just to be on the safe side with a car like that... But you should stab it through the hood so you can actually drive around with it.

Unexpected mail this morning so Sigsetter went to work :D

Won't be posting the soldiers in the "latest sak" thread since these are potential BYSAKs for MTo members... Keeping them aside for now.

Clearly there are some great minds in this thread (leaving mine aside to be frank).

Firstly Syem - good to see you've your Little Black Number to hand  I was thinking 130mm might be a bit much. It's not a tank I'm driving after all. But a 111mm Forester ? I could attach it with the corkscrew so it has a nice easy release if I put a rubber grommet in the screw hole. I'm liking that idea and that's my favourite 111mm too. There's a marketing opportunity here I sense ...

Now Barry good spot that odd yellow thing is indeed what we over here call summer. You'll probably have something similar where you are, maybe with as much liquid sunshine as we get too ? Let me know when you've launched that thread ... I did start a SAK's and Hats thread but you've outthought me here

You're not wrong Vicman either. Nicely functional if you mount the Rambler with Blue Tack so you can lift it off with ease. And none of those regular "Where's my SAK gone?" worries with this arrangement. It's almost a SAK "Head Up Display"
