Joy of Techs, Season 1, Episode 1

At about six and a half minutes into the first episode we see some SAK use- one host is showing off his lovely inflatable snowshoes, and the other host, sick of the bragging, pulls out what appears to be an XAVT and pokes a hole in one of them.

In Episode 2 they are comparing the "old tech" Victorinox XAVT to the "high tech" Leatherman Tread.

Not sure I get that one- doesn't the XAVT have a clock, altimeter, thermometer etc built into it?  That seems more high tech than a bracelet.  Odd that they would have picked the XAVT though, as they could have easily made their point with almost any other SAK.

Well yeah, but you can wear the Tread, right on your wrist!  omg holy smurf, right on your wrist!

That was the comment- that he wouldn't lose it because it was on his wrist, while the SAK was likely to fall out of a pouch or pack.  Meanwhile the other guy pulls out the hook, says no it won't and hangs it from the zipper on his jacket.  The weight of the XAVT then pulls the zipper all the way down.
