Not a great picture, and I'm reluctant to clean them, 1967 Canadian coins celebrating our centennial, uncirculated but not properly protected

Let me know if this bothers you in any way.

I have been seriously collecting coins for most of my life. I belong to several numismatic associations/clubs. So that’s my back ground. Here we go; the words “clean” and “coins” shall never be in the same sentence, except when saying... never clean a coin since it will loose more then 2/3rd of its value. Usually, when I give an opinion, I always end my comment with “my two cents worth”. Well in this case I am an expert in numismatics, so I’ll repeat; leave your 1967 Silver alone.

I am very glad that you are “reluctant”. Very nice set by the way.

No bother Marc, your two cents only reinforces how I feel   :tu: glad you like them

Thanks.

How about an 84mm Sportsman inside an area I rarely visit...my coin collection storage locker. This is where I store part of the old collection. I sort of forgot what I had in here actually, and it was fun to re-acquaint myself as I believe the last time I opened this up was back in 2012.  :ahhh

Here's half my coin collection - I have 2!
It's a 10 euro "Little Prince" coin which I got in a French post office. In the same town I found this Camo Fun Forester in a shop window.

I love the Little Prince!  :like:

Keep them coming Chako!  :salute:

Those UK jigsaw puzzle coins are so nice, I only have the old ones.

Also, Canada. Sigh. I only have 1 Cent coins form Canada. 70 or so of them. I'll get a nice set of the bay soon.
I won a Signal from Grant, and I should have asked him to include some coins in the package. Alas, my "Canada" page is just an ocean of copper dullness.

So Pontius Pilate got a coin of his own, eh?
I wonder if his fwend in Wome, Biggus Dickus, was ever given the same honour. A portwait of him and his wife, Incontinentia Buttox, would be pwiceless.

No, it is not Pontius Pilate own coin of course. He was only council and Tiberius was the boss that time but Pontius Pilate himself designed and put the coins into circulation and they were minted in Jerusalem under his supervision.

Nothing of value just a few I plucked out of my pocket randomly over the years.  I do find coin collecting very neat and appreciate others REAL collections.

I got this funny little pound coin from the Isle of Man the other day. And a New Zealand kiwi coin from a couple of years ago.
The Wenger's my first SAK! See, I had taste once upon a time....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms_of_Mexico

The coat of arms is derived from an Aztec legend that their gods told them to build a city where they spot an eagle on a cactus eating a serpent, which is now Mexico City.

It is more complicated than that though. Some versions of the legend did not even mention a snake. In others, the snake just hisses instead of being eaten, but it got mistranslated and the image stuck.
