Ok, which members here own a Victorinox or Wenger Heritage?

Chako, Grant, ...
I know you guys do :pok:

Show some pics!
I'm curious to know how many ended up with MTO members.

I'll kick this off with a new pic from this morning.

I'll dig mine out for some photos shortly, but in the meantime here are a couple of links to old photos and information about the Wenger version:

These beauties have been on my wishlist for a long time...

In the meantime, would a real 1890 Elsener count though? :D

And great to see it was a pen knife!
My 1950 Soldier has a clip point so I was wondering about that.

This is one of the few clubs I can´t be a member of...

Very nice though. I hadn´t realized these are a bit larger than the alox Soldiers.

Not a member of the Heritage Club, but have 2 oldies: both 1908 model 2s. One Vic and One Wenger. Great old knives.

Those sure are nice :dd: I saw them for sale back when they came out but the price then was more than I was willing to pay :ahhh I really appreciate the fact that some of you have them and I can see the pics but unless I could get one on the cheap you won't be seeing pics of one from me  :D

They are very lovely though  :like:

Completely understand Poncho!

I actualy got mine cheaper then what they retailed for back in the days.

On top of that I got a bunch of freebies with it, like 2 display stands, a wooden wall sign, a Victorinox toy truck, a Wenger Bayonet and a Classic SD with inlayed diamond.

It all depends - getting a fancier GEC in Europe, after taxes and postal costs makes it only slightly cheaper than what the Heritage models used to sell for.

I got mine when there was dip in the price, after the rush to buy them finished. It was $306, coming to 364 with shipping, from the US. A US citizen could have gotten it for $300 - amazon. I think the original RRP was about 300Euro/US Dollars...   - not sure

They started going up in price a bit soon afterwards but they have not really rocketed in price - They should have gone up by more, as they are more special than the yearly damascus models. There is one on eBay that sold for $372 this month

Pics pics pics pics!!
:D

According to what I could find online, it had a MSRP of €/$495 back in '09.

And strange that they haven't gone up more in the meantime...
Then again, only true fans would buy one, while the masses buy alox.

In Switzerland they both go for more than what I paid for my real 1890...
There's almost always one or two on Ricardo.ch going for around 1k at the cheapest. The cheapest I've seen one go I think was around 750.- ; It's almost as ridiculous as some of the Damas knives...
I guess I should turn to the Bay if I want to get them for reasonable prices.. the Vic wouldn't be region 1 but who cares?

I got mine in the mid 600 if I remember right.
It really depends on the tang stamp and condition of the knife... I've seen non-Elsener in a bit worse condition than mine go in the 300-350 range. But then there's also this kind of stuff.
