I cant find them Online are the Discontinued? The "new" Lamps from Petzl have just in integrated Akku who sucks when the Day come...  :ahhh
How about the other Company? Does the also use an Integrated Lithium Accu?

Does anyone here done a review? If not I might could write some.

It doesn't seem very bright, lightwise.
And how necessary are those bells and whistles on it?
And I know its a minor typo, but I chuckled at this:
Quote
Infrared Light: Nahsicht mode (20 hours, 10 MW)
10 Megawatts of IR light for 20 hours?  :D
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Funny, I would expect the military to have the best and brightest.

Bells and whistles, in this case would be the coloured LEDs, the IR function, and the IFF function.
What would you do with those things?
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Features & details
Visible colorful light: Red (20 hours, 1 Lm, 4 M),
Red is ok to save the natural nightvision from the eyes...

 Green (17 hours, 1.5 Lm, 4 M)
What??

, Blue (17 hours, 0.35 Lm, 2 m)
Really?!

Visible White Light: Tarn mode (65 hours, 0.40 Lm, 3 m),
Ok, map reading without being seen 20km away...

 Nahsicht mode (20 hours, 15 Lm, 20 m),
Maybe... I guess...

 Fortbewegungs mode (4 hours 30 minutes, 40 Lm, 40 m)
Wait? Max 40Lm?? What?

Infrared Light: Nahsicht mode (20 hours, 10 MW),
IR light is built in the goggles, no need for a second one in another tool.

Fortbewegungs mode (5 hours 30 minutes., 25 MW),
???

flashing (IFF - Indication friend or foe) (40 hours, 15 mW)
Again, this is a function carried out by a sepperate light. Why? Because a beacon and light could both be needed at the same time.

So 9 modes, 6 being unneeded in 1 device, and the full light mode being too weak.

Just my 5c

The Colour is nice to Walk in the Darkness and get not see that fast.
The have:
1x RGB LED for Colour
1x LED for the dimmest/ Night Vision Mode
1x LED with mid/ hight Mode

LM = Lumen

IR is nice with an Cellphone and or other Cam System. If the IR in the Night Vision Goggle not Powerful enough its an good option.

"Fortbewegungs mode" is German and mean " ~Walking Mode".

A zebralight would be much cheaper, much brighter, and is considered one of the most reliable....

Colour light is not really better than a good dim white light.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

On topic,
In order to know if something has been discontinued, your best bet might be to email the brand itself.

Sometimes a webshop simply stops selling a certain item.

And assuming that it is actually used by a military like LOWW says, I would think that military products aren't usually discontinued, poof, just like that?
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

Could be that they're about to release an updated model.

I'd e-mail Petzl if I were you ;)

Nothing wrong with that, it makes charging easier. You could plug in a solar panel?

sure the benefit with the "old" one is I can put regular Akku or Batteries inside. On the Battlefield or in an Emergency Situation its much easier to get them instep of recharge an Proprietary Akku. And when the run flat what then? I have an Led Lenser Lamp who was an problem to get the Akku because the have an Minimum order Limit and the use Proprietary Akkus.

Rechargeable batteries in modern day electronics are usualy Lithium batteries.
Which mean they provide more power, last longer and have no self discharge.
Meaning they are ready when needed.

Throwaway batteries are heavy for their size, especialy when you'll need 3-6V, so taking a 12-pack as a back-up seems unlikely.
Taking 2 spare lithiums however...
Or a power bank...

On top of that, nobody wants to go fiddle around with battery compartiments in the middle of a battlefield.

The problem of not being able to swap batteries doesn’t matter if you have a backup light that’s charged.
Two is one and one is none, after all.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

It take 30s to replace the Akku in the Strix if you have an Akku in your Hand.

It takes 2 seconds of inattention to get shot.

And I hardly believe a soldier would keep his spare batteries in hand.

Anyway, this thread is moving in the same direction as the others.
So consider me out of here.

Good luck on your intel search
