I know many here have rare and vintage SAKs.  What is your most rare/old SAK that's used as if it were easily replaced?

I don’t really have much in the way of rare vintage SAKs. My oldest knives are probably mid-1980’s. Old, but not like Victorinox old, if you know what I mean.

The one I’ve babied the least is an old cross Pioneer. It was used when I bought it, and it’s been used hard by me. At one point, it was carried daily for three straight years. The 93mm alox models are absurdly tough for slipjoints. As long as you don’t over it when you sharpen them, they can last a long, long time with continual use.

I don't even use my garden-variety SAKs like they're easily replaced!

I abuse all my old knives, though none of them are that old. Probably the oldest is a mid to late 80s (pre hook) Explorer. It gets pocket time occasionally, though it's largely been replaced by it's younger brother. Gotta have the hook!

Pictured is an ~20 year old Hiker, which is my designated "beater" knife. It's the second one I've owned (after a Classic which wound up who knows where.) After abusing it as only a teenaged Boy Scout can (I've got no clue where it got that bend in the blade, probably prying apart part of a Klondike Derby sled or something) I threw it in the back of a drawer for a decade or so.

I pulled it out, cleaned it, and sharpened it, and now it's the one I reach for whenever I need to do something "questionable" with a knife. It's most recent adventure was disassembling a couch with the help of a hammer. Fun fact, you can whack the back end of a Swiss Army Knife with a hammer and use the cap lifter as a pry bar with minimal consequences.

Despite my constant abuse, I'm convinced it's going to outlive me.

I carry this Vagabond.  It's not old, and not rare, just expensive to replace.
Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

There's a history behind that SAK. That makes it rare and (I'd say) impossible to replace.

This early 60's Picknicker / Campingmesser. Love the pruning blade, but very few options in 91mm.

+1

Starting with the inlay logo, passing the serrated blade, ending in the pruner blade, after going over the old style bottle opener.

This 60's Elinox Pioneer is too good to sit on a shelf.  It is a joy to use.

I have other users that are rarer, but this is one of the oldest.
