I think GEC does a pretty good job of adjusting the kicks.  Mine could be sunk a little, but not much, and not worth misaligning the springs, as you said.

Case, on the other hand is not.  I've had to adjust the kicks on the sheepsfoot on both of my new Case stockmans.  They weren't touched at the factory, and one of them had the tip of the blade proud of the frame.

This is another David Boye knife. This is his version of a Skinner. It's a small knife with a 3" blade but the handle has good length and is made of Cocobolo. It also has one of his well made sheaths.

A few wood handled knives.
First is a group of all wood knives I have accumulated over the years.Have no idea who made them but they function as a folding knife should except they won't cut anything.
Second is a "penny" knife;so named because their inexpensive construction they sold for very little. They are usually a bit plainer than this one that is carved in the shape of a face and has small pieces of bone for eyes.
Third is an unmarked 3 blade knife with a cap lifter/can opener on the spine. The smaller curved blade only opens 90 degrees and is probably a grape harvesting blade.
Last is another folding knife with an unusually shaped tapered nail mark.

Congrats.

Thank you sir. It was one of my first custom knives that I acquired.Got it from a lawyer/client of mine for putting a custom pinstripe on his Mercedes.Came with the box, sheath, and COA. The sheath is unique in that it can be put on a belt on either right or left side and has a provision via a thong to hold it securely in the sheath but allow it to be quickly released.

That must have been some pinstripe job.

You're a lucky dog!  LOL.

The client was quite a character in his own right. He gave up his practice and bought a garage to restore vintage Bugattis which he still does. He has several of his own that he races in hill climbs up Mount Washington in New Hampshire.
