Wednesday is 13 minutes old here so I thought I would post one up to kick off WHW. For your viewing pleasure is a Woodcraft pattern by OLCUT(Union Cutlery Co.) that features a wood handle jigged to simulate stag. Only one I have ever seen done like this.

Here is my contribution to WHW: A dagger etched with the motto "Cum Deo Et Manu" and various other figures. The handle is carved wood with inlays of what look like colored glass and the stag pommel features a carving of a lion's head(or some other big cat)on both sides. No idea where it came from or how old it is.One of the etchings looks like a heraldic shield.

My entry for WHW: A fixed blade by Erling Vangedal of Denmark. An extremely well made knife and sheath that was missing the sharpening steel for the sheath which has since been found. Anyone know anything about this company?

Thank you for the kind words Steve. That particular knife is one of the nicest factory knives I have ever seen;as nicely put together as any custom knife. The fit and finish are incredible.

Their knives are beautiful.  They really do look like they come out of a custom shop.

I think they are the most popular knife maker for scouts in Denmark, but someone that is Danish in this forum might be able to tell you more.
