Wood handle Wednesday is once again upon us.I may have posted these before and forgive me if I did but I am old and senile and forget things occasionally. :D
A group of cork handled fish knives from various makers.Top to bottom:
Lunawerk Italy double edged dagger(one edge serrated).
Marked simply "Japan" with a handle painted to look like a bobber.Guess that makes it easy to see when you drop it overboard.
A KA-BAR with the blade hollowed out to lighten it.
A Colonial
A Cressi Italy.

Thought I would throw a couple more into the fire just for laughs.A Rigid Apache folder and a Rigid bowie. The company was started by a couple of employees of Gerber Knives and were basically custom made in Santee California for a short period of time. The Apache folder makes a Buck 110 look like a pen knife and is massive.I carried it for awhile on my hip until it got too uncomfortable to carry.
The Bowie I got from a friend of mine who also tired of carrying it. Someone who owned it before him had attempted some engraving on the bolsters with(in my opinion anyway)less than satisfactory results. Didn't affect the function of the knife though.

WHW for 3 July: A Gerber Model 1 folding hunter. This one has a little history but I won't go into it now;too long a story.
This was Gerber's first foray into folding hunters  and the came either with or without checkering. The ambidextrous grip allowed it to be held in either the right or left hand comfortably. For some reason they didn't sell well and were dropped from the line ifn favor of a more conventionally shaped folder.
For awhile they were very popular in the Japanese market and good examples fetched all kinds of crazy prices. I don't know if that is still the case today but I feel very fortunate to own a copy of one.

You are probably correct.
Neither model I have were listed on Buck’s web site when I picked these up a few years ago.   Only know they are marked USA made.

Yes, Rosewood.  This is a 301 model.

It’s a laminated wood, called Dymondwood.
