completer 1908 mod
on: July 07, 2018, 07:14:40 AM
Here are some pics from my completed mod. This is a 1941, model 1908 carbon steel sak updated with polished tools, new pins (except the knife) and bright red micarta. Its by no means perfect, and it was a labour of love, but im happy. I put a couple progress pics in the mod section.

Thought people might like a look.
I had to also make all new backsprings because the originals were broken.

Well it hasn't been 12 hrs. And I'm not happy with it. I'll be redoing in a dark ebony. The red Micarta really picks up dirt and doesn't clean easily. I tried to seal with a food safe wax....seemed to make even more blemishes show.

Back to the shop.  :(
