Wenger serrations
on: July 09, 2018, 08:23:32 PM
So I got to thinking about serrated blades today, and I kind of did a comparison of serrations on the knives I have. And I have to say I think Wenger's serrations are the best hands down, they slice better than any other serrated knives I have. I think Spyderco is a close second. What do you guys think?

Also share a pic of your serrated wenger!

I have a few 130mm Rangers with this serration type, and more than a few Vics with the regular serrations.
One of my CRKT knives has Veff serrations, big and aggressive.
I don´t prefer one over the other, or over say Spyderco, they all do what I want them to do.

I like serrated blades for specific purposes like rope cutting.
However, serrated blades make ragged cuts. Not neccesarily what you would want in a slicer.

I guess I agree with you I never have just one knife on me anyway lol today its Wenger traveler serrated with a rebar so I have options. I guess I wouldn't say Wenger's are THE BEST but if I were to only have one knife it would be a serrated wenger. I don't now how to explain it, it cuts like it's a plain edge with TEETH. nice SAKs btw

Now that you mention TEETH, there´s a thread you ought to see.
No need to go searching for it, it´s in the SAK subforum and I bumped it for you.

Lots of serrated Wengers there!
