I’m currently home visiting my parents in Denmark atm.

Found my old well trusted (and used) Leatherman Kick....the very MT that started it all for me.

Got enough time to go through my "beater MT box". The photos really don't even come close to representing the used condition of these tools. I picked out a few to show up close. All of these have an unused sibling in the collection.

These MT really get more interesting to look at after they have been put through a lot of usage.

“Beausage” theory = confirmed

You can’t really see it as much on the non-BO models, but on the BO models it gives them a very distinctive cool factor.

Anyway, keep the pics coming lads!

And of course; thanks for the contributions so far!

EDIT: it’s sort of like in the off-road community.
Yes; we can all appreciate a shill new 4x4, but the cool factor goes to the 4x4s that look like they have seen some real adventures and has stories to tell, and also earns a lot more respect to the owner as well.

Come on there has to be more people on here who puts some use to their multitools?

I see a certain lack of contributions from the SOG crowd

:pommel:

I'll post soms pics of my OG PowerLock later. Older SOG tools just hold up phenomenally well.

SOGs must hold up better than Vic, Gerber, LM, etc.. :pok:

well I am sure of that statement because some of my SOGs have been very beat up through the years and I've had hem for long but for the most part they look almost pristine today, I guess the cool bright polish/finish has something to do with that

I don't purposely abuse my tools, and I have so many that I spraead the wear over them all, thus each tool gets few scratches and wear marks as opposed to if I had only 2 or 3

and they are tough!! Especially at the plies/jaws  :multi:

My most worn probably are those I don't have anymore (sold, gave them away, traded, lost or broke) including my CORE, Skeletool, my first Spirit, first Blacktip, all below:

the Spirit above with chipped blade tip, had to be reground after breaking some of the serrations off:

Wenger Champ with broken blade, screwdriver, bent can opener, no mag glass, bent fine screwdriver, broken awl and chipped scales and MP700 with broken flathead, chipped blade and lacking rubber inserts :

My toys:

MTs: Surge (2x), Skeletool CX, Rebar, Blast, Fuse, Micra, Squirt (3x), Wave, Crunch, Mini, Spirit (2x), Pro Scout, MP700 (2x), Diesel, Powerlock, PowerPlier (2x), PocketPowerPlier, Blacktip , ST6 (2x), 5WR, A100

Very nice, TP! Thabk you for posting.

So, the consensus is that SOGs are the toughest tools out there.  :pok: :D
