I’ve got one of the Japanese toolclips with the plastic clip. I like the tool a lot, except for the lack of a spring for the handle. Has anyone ever modded one and added a spring?
Charles.

I haven't ever seen it done, but that doesn't mean it would be difficult (or easy).
I will say that be careful of that plastic clip that holds the handle closed, it seems to be easy to break (several of my examples have broken clips).

I too would very much want to see springs on the tool clips. Even the first version. It's just so difficult to use them with their tiny handles without springs..
