Has anyone ever added a spring to an older micro ToolClip?

I’ve got one of the Japanese toolclips with the plastic clip. I like the tool a lot, except for the lack of a spring for the handle. Has anyone ever modded one and added a spring?

I haven't ever seen it done, but that doesn't mean it would be difficult (or easy).

I will say that be careful of that plastic clip that holds the handle closed, it seems to be easy to break (several of my examples have broken clips).

I too would very much want to see springs on the tool clips. Even the first version. It's just so difficult to use them with their tiny handles without springs..  :ahhh
Merit Badges Must post a step by step pictorial of a knife or MT Mod, done by you that includes changing the main chassis of the tool in a significant way. By machining, welding or cutting original design to accept new tool loads. Requests will be reviewed.
