Just retarded...

People carry around chainsaws, axes, forks and scythes all day long... nobody beats an eye...

Scythes! That would be an awesome EDC.  Wear a black hood, carry a scythe, and you would have plenty of room on the sidewalk. Of course here in Texas you would be under armed.

Well you could... nope. No idea. Ok, maybe you could put one in a cello case? Though I don't see that as being all that practical.  :D

Haven't you fellas watched the old movies? You conceal it in a trench coat(just like a mob member concealing his shotgun).

The ole' box of roses works too. :D

Only down side to the trench coat is that people will assume you are ready to flash them and will run away.

Anyway... has anyone seen my pocket knife? I was out dogging the other night in some geezers car park and...

In Vermont, so long as you are out of your vehicle, you are legally allowed to carry any weapon you want concealed, so long as it is under six feet in length. If it is longer than that, you may not conceal it about your person nor in a wagon or carriage while in a state of readiness. This also dates from the era when the Brown Bess was still a front line weapon. Oddly, the law says you may do it- how you conceal is up to you. We've since edited the rules so you can't legally have a loaded rifle or shotgun in your vehicle, nor a cocked crossbow.

Anti-poaching laws.

While that tawdry little thing is not kosher in in Her Majesty's Realm, I'm going to throw out two theories. Someone with a rebellious streak was using it to do something like cut rope for tying down a tarp or the like, put it on their car, and forgot it when they drove off. Theory two is Jack the Ripper is a Time Lord and dumped the weapon 120 years in the future after wiping it down.

Around here, that knife wouldn't be an issue.

In Canada, you can wear a sword as well...and it is perfectly legal...that is until you take it out of its sheath.   :ahhh

With that in mind, just because you can does not mean you will. I have as yet to see anyone wearing a sword. As for concealing one, my that gentleman is walking stiff legged.

It might not be a sword. A friend of mine noticed this very stiff legged man walking in the middle of the shopping street once. The man stopped by a bike, and as by magic an extremely long bolt cutter appeared. He liberated the bike from its lock and without waiting around for comments he tried to race off. Mind you, cycling with a stiff leg isn't easy!
