Internally threaded rod for pivots? (want to replace rivets)

I have a multi I want to modify, which uses stainless steel rivets with peened ends. I'd like to replace the rivets with screws. Where can I get round rod that is internally threaded, which the screws can then thread into? I'm needing 3mm and 4mm OD rod with an internal threading so I can use some nice tiny metric screws to hold it all together.

Thanks.

Charles.

Nothing there is quite the right size. That said, I can probably drill the tools and backsprings and the plier pivots out slightly, and use these. I was hoping for some straight-up metric pivots though.

What about buying tube and tapping a thread into it?

Not a bad idea. Just bought some stainless tubing. Good show.
