What LM bits do you use the most?
on: July 22, 2018, 04:43:42 AM
I recently got the LM bit kit for my beloved Wave. I only want to carry 1 card, so I’d like to see what bits you use most, and what you’d reccomend putting in that card. By the way, this is for my EDC.

I know for a fact I will carry these bits:
-Philips #3 and #0
-Flathead 1/8 and 3/32
-The 3 largest metric Allen/hex

With the Wave, I won’t need any more Phillips or flathead drivers, so I’m basically just wondering if you’d choose to take the Torx or the standard hex.

Depending on how useful the bits seem, I may consider a slim way to carry both cards, or go the opposite way and cut down the card for just the most used bits.

obviously it depends on your personal needs,

myself I carry the Phillips #1 and #2, Flatheads (two sizes), micro Phillips + Flathead (for glasses, small electronics, batteries, lights), Torx #6, #8, #10 and #12 (for my folding knives' picots, clips and hardware) and two Allen sizes that are not present in my Allen key set  :salute:
My toys:

MTs: Surge (2x), Skeletool CX, Rebar, Blast, Fuse, Micra, Squirt (3x), Wave, Crunch, Mini, Spirit (2x), Pro Scout, MP700 (2x), Diesel, Powerlock, PowerPlier (2x), PocketPowerPlier, Blacktip , ST6 (2x), 5WR, A100

SAKs: Bantam, Executive, Ambassador, Minichamp, Classic Alox, Champion, Farmer, Explorer, Swisschamp, Golf Tool, Wenger Champ, EVO 52, Pocket Tool Chest

Phillips and Straight bits (obviously), followed by:

  • Small straight bit (terminal strips)
  • Smallish Phillips bit (changing batteries in my son's toys)
  • Torx T15 (Some PC cases and Club Car golf cart dashboards)
  • Eyeglass driver (unlocking privacy lock doorknobs)
  • Larger hex bits (door/gate closer adjustments)

Somewhat industry-specific for me, since I generally know what bits I'll need for the particular equipment that I work on the most frequently.
