well it seems obvious to me, you need a Victorinox Adventurer, Picnicker or Centurion
Quick update : I pick up spartan for my every day carry but will not trash it . It will be a nice pocket to carry . Now I need a cheap multi tool that I can trash it . Use it for open paint can . Something I don’t care if it break . It need to have a knife and a plier . Small enough to carry on my pocket . My current is “ true utility pocket multi tool . Something under $20
But....he wants pliers......And why not get something sturdy that you might not need to replace?I'm thinking Leatherman REBAR.
But he also wants a blade and the ones on the Rebar are thin and easily bent.

I don't recall the Rebar's blade as being particularly feeble (mine is not in arm's reach at the moment). Are there stronger knife blades in other multitools? The Wave/Charge blades seem pretty good. But I have little doubt they might suffer with 'hard' use.
