"Year of the rooster" was 2017. The series contunue for various years now, and those who bought first series want to continue. Personally I don't like the "year of..." for 2 reasons. The first and the most important: it is required to be displayed in the box only, because the box is part of the design and it is a huge box. Second reason: the price. The total run is relatively high, like 8888 pcs of the 2017. However the main market for this is China and what is left over that huge market on eBay always gets extremely high prices.

It came to my mind that initally Vic announced Cybertool 41 with carbon scales. Here is the photo of 2017 discussed here 2 years ago.

But the final small release was for Carbon M. Do they still have the plans to go with CT41 then? Any ideas?

Looks like a 34 to me...

Vic had plans in 2017 to release the "Cybertool Carbon".
When Vic refers to "the" Cybertool, they always mean the 34. It's the standard Cybertool. The 41 is an extended CT, while the 29 is a slimmed down one.

On another note, I think it's sad they didn't add scissors to the 29...

Pardon my french, but this is just another Cybertool (fantastic tool) with fancy scales. Textbook example of a pure "shelf queen" marketing product. I respect very much the guys who revere these knives and can afford to buy them, but I beg to differ. I need a knife I can use if want to.

IMHO, the best and most legitimate scales for a cybertool are made of recycled PCB - picture below shows an example of the work of a portugese collector/modder active on Ebay under the name Caepxy. I know he actuallly made a cybertool with PCB scales. Which is now in the hands of a
happy collector :)

That's how any "cyber" tool should look like!  :tu: :tu:
