I'll bet this just the holiday he needed.

Good job because when he comes back things will be very different. No more shirking off the last hour of a 36 hour cleaning shift to 'go to the toilet'. No Sireee. Things will be verrrrrrry different.

So I got invited to a private event at the Geneva Victorinox flagship store (its the beginning of grapes harvesting season so half the stores in the city invite people to drink... sorry, to "taste" wine). Bill seemed keen on tagging along.

While I was busy drinking wine and gathering intel (topic on that coming soon) he had a look at the watches and goofed around on a couple of giant items.

We got back a bit too late for me to post these yesterday but the gang wanted to have a fun activity so they went to do a bit of LARP.

Chief got ambushed and started running away yelling in a girl's voice and flailing his arms around... We'd never seen THAT side of the Chief before

This time it's Bill who wanted to look cool:

Last I heard from them they were hanging out with this dude they met at the LARP... Probably touring the pubs in the old town...
Been a bit busy these last few days and couldn't go with them.

See this guy they met the other day is named Arthur... He likes to dress up like a unicorn and he's amazed by what Bill is doing.

I've been a bit busy... Wanted to take him for some cheese fondue but didn't really get a chance.

Also, I'm not sure who's next, the list has been shifting around a bit and the thread is so long I'm at a loss trying to find the definitive list.

Thanks! But then I need to send it to Fuzzy, right? because Eamo sent Bill to me ^^ Or to Styx in Croatia then back up north for Scotland, Netherlands, etc.. ?

I think Bill's commanding officer should call the shots on that!

nice that we're still thinking glen will be away in August

So while we're preparing for Bill's safe passage to his next destination...

He's visited the protestant Cathedral Saint-Pierre (Saint Peter) (yes, a protestant cathedral dedicated to a saint xD). The inside is a bit dull since they removed everything nice inside when they reformed it... (click on any pic to see it in full size)

The front was built in the 18th century...

While the rest was built starting in the 12th century on a site that has had multiple smaller cathedral buildings since the 4th century. It offers one of the best sights in Geneva... but you gotta climb the steps ^^ No trouble for Bill and his extensive u-boat ladder training.

(yes, he is in those two last ones)

And a shot for me :D
