whats the difference when its a spartan 2, sportsman 2 etc. is that the spartan with the serrated main blade?

Nylon scales for the most part. I think the "II" designation replaced "Economy" and "Ecoline".

Both have plain edge main blades, spartan 2 has a second smaller blade, the sportsman 2 replaces second blade with nail file, I will post some stock pics, as they are both still in unopened box, and as Cody said, the scales are nylon, slightly more grippy texture then the shinier cellidor scales, and don't get scratched up as easy:

For what it's worth, I have a Camper II, and can second the fact that  while the scales are a duller-looking nylon, they are also far more shatter-proof than cellidor. They may gouge, but will not Crack and shatter when dropped. And as mentioned, far more "grippy".
