The Craftsman 45471 is my new favorite Craftsman branded U.S.A multi-tool. :cheers:

Craftsman put their name on several different "quality" name brand MTs in the past, including the:

45516  =  Kershaw A100 locking pliers MT
45517      Replacement tool components for the above tool (sold in a small clamshell)

45509  =  Schrade ST2 Tough Chip (scissors MT)

45505  =  SeberTool M4

I have that 35721, but with black scales, and a "ZGB" branding. It's a modified copy of the Gerber Balance, with a saw instead of the extra 1/4" screwdriver and a dual opener tool instead of the scissors.

Also, about the shears tool, the 38844... the fold out tools kinda suck, but they can be sharpened with a file or grinding wheel to be useful. The scissors are the BEST of any of the small multitools I have, easily beating out the Leatherman Micra, SOG CrossCut 2.0, and Schrade ST2 Tough Chip. They cut paracord with authority. The tool is however far larger than the Leatherman or SOG, and doesn't really fit comfortably on a keychain. Next to the Chen Wei Professional multitool, these are the best scissors in a scissors-based multitool that I've found.

Picked this up a couple of weeks ago, wasn’t sure what I had until I found this thread.  I think I paid a very reasonable price ($59.99 +$4.99 shipping) considering the quality of the tool.  Very impressed!!!  Tool has not been used at all, no marks, scratches, etc anywhere on the tool.  It’s like someone bought the tool, put it in their toolbox and never touched it.  That will probably change 😛.    :cheers:

Here is the (Schrade manufactured) Sears Craftsman multitool I used to own.  The pliers head was made from multiple layers of sheet metal riveted together.  It was a slip joint arrangement with 2 positions.
