Anyone ever mod a Sheffield Crocodile or Kershaw A100?

Basically, my Sheffield comes with scissors. Those scissors are supremely awkward to use, because the vise grips have to be open to use them. The Kershaw had the right idea with the hacksaw blade.

However, Kershaw parts are expensive. There's a Craftsman kit of tools that go for $60 on eBay, and this Sheffield cost me $12. So... has anyone modded these with blades from a different multitool? A wood saw could work...
