DAY 30:  Booya!

Last day was spent in my pocket since it was one of my two days a month that I have to work the register. But, it has done a good job. The agressive teeth on the pliers and only the far tips touching were my biggest gripes. Overall, it is a Wave, of course it did well.  :)

We did it! Survived 30 days with the WAVE OG, WAVE 2nd gen, and/or a WAVE+!

I did not think I could go the entire month with the WAVE.  I choose to not carry another knife, with exception to my SAK Vagabond (which is a fixture) in my pocket, but did not use.

I do luv my REBARs, I do luv my ST300, and now I do  :like: and RESPECT my WAVE more than before the challenge began.

NOW if I find a deal on a WAVE, specifically a BO model, it will be leaving with me with no doubt.

The WAVE+, did do the tasks, and look real nice in BO :like:, to the point I was lusting for one and a tad bit jealous.

I will be using my WAVE (SS) daily at my PT job, due to the chemicals. BUT, when I end my shift, my REBAR and BUCK knive will be my casual carry at home and out and about.   When needed my ST300 will get the call.  And for treking and camping excursions, the SURGE.

I truly do like having a choice, selecting the best tool for the plan.

Variety is required...

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

DAY 30

Well, I’ve owned a wave for many years, but I’ve never been this  faithful to one.  I have enjoyed having it on me, and all the tools I used worked fine. No complaints.

The 2 biggest negative things for me was how I carried it, and no awl.

The sheath I used, which isn’t the Waves fault, I just didn’t like how it rode on the belt.

I did try the clip in the front right pocket, and that  worked fine. Problem is, I’m so use to having my dedicated knife in the front right, light clipped in the front left,  and my MT at the 3 or 4 o’clock position on the belt, I don’t think I could change. I’ve been doing this for over 20 years. Creature of habit I guess.

This is not a Wave problem, just a me adjusting to it problem.  If I could find the right leather sheath, my opinion could totally change.

And the awl, I just prefer to have one.

What I did really like was those scissors. I seemed to use them a lot. I normally carry a ps4 on my keys, but I don’t always have my keys handy. Having them easy accessible on the Wave was awesome.

My MT of choice normally is the Rebar, and I think my plan is to start rotating in my knifeless Rebar (with scissors) into my carry rotation.
I think for me, that maybe a perfect carry.

Great job to you all. I enjoyed following your days with the Wave!

Thank you Zoidberg for the badge!

Onto the Rebar challenge.................

This was one heck of a varied, diverse and interesting ride that showed all of the Wave's capabilities, its good, bad and ugly, and you all seemed to like it and cherish it.  :gimme:

Oops, looks like I forgot to post my day 30!

Day 30

Time to get an old mountain bike up and running. Got new tubes, opened the packaging, used the plier tips to let out air pressure, adjusted things on the bike with the bit kit, and pulled out this air pump adapter that otherwise would've been impossible to get out.
