Awww... got 2 Waves (1 stock, 1 ReWaveR) but I have some travel to MT-hostile places aboard MT-hostile conveyances planned the next month. No way I'd be able to finish a challenge running precisely from the 1st to the 30th, sorry. Good luck, all who can :tu:

Any chance of doing the same challenge later?
Cheers!

Any chance you could remove the two knife blades and install washers JUST for a while? I understand if that isn't doable though. I am not really up on the knife laws  :ahhh

The reason the set date on the Wave challenge thread is stringent is that it is going to have a ton of badges awarded and the mods would like to limit the confusion involved. But, I am sure a separate thread for a challenge started later would be fine, but check with a kod just to be sure. :)
Pontificating particularly pious positions pertaining to polymorphic paraphernalia. G-Man.

Welcome to your first challenge, Sam!
This should be a good one.

I was drawn in by Nix's rule no. 1 and 2.

1.  Carry a Wave (any generation) or Wave+ for 30-days. It doesn’t have to be the same Wave everyday, but it has to be a real Leatherman Wave. Modded Waves welcome.  Cheap copies, not so much.

2.  Try to use every tool in the Wave’s ample tool set at least once. Let’s test the Wave and it’s bits a bit.

Sounds like a loads of fun while not being very restrictive on the choice of tool.  :like:

I will be game  I haven't ever carried a Wave that many days in a row, so it will be interesting to see how I do :salute: thanks for getting this together Nix :tu: :like:

I wanna see your orange one at least once!!!  :pok:

I'll watch the challenge from the back of the wave, this tool is LM's best seller for a reason so this will prove interesting to see
I got one in 2012, after many reviews and videos, but these two in particular sold me on it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6E9USVqkJXU

I think those in the UK are not allowed to carry them, but do as you wish (I do ) because folks here are not the kind of people who get into trouble and are "searched" by LEOs, or I want to believe that.

The Wave in particular has its caveats due to the OHO blade and bad publicity in media (anybody remember that scene with Russell Crowe?  :D ) but that's to be expected nowadays... >:(

Well, have fun folks!!  :salute:
My toys:

Yeah... I can understand it from the point of view of those monitoring the challenge. We'll see about a future retry then. I have thought about temporarily removing some blades but that kind of defeats the purpose of the whole exercise - in part because I'd have liked to do an in-depth comparison between the Charge blades on the ReWaveR and the stock Wave blades. Never mind, can't win 'em all...

I'll be watching, for sure. >:D >:D >:D
Cheers!
