Yep that's right ...well actually I'm from Denmark, but I live in Ireland.
Anyway, here's my story...
I had a company provided Leatherman Kick back when I worked in building maintenance, it lasted me the 3 years I worked there, at one point I even tried to break it so I could get a leatherman wave which all the new guys were getting, but I never managed to break it, this is also what got me into leathermans and also why I will likely never buy any other brand multitool. The only thing I ever had to do with the Kick, was to sharpen the knife once in a while, but that was it.
Currently I have been carrying a Charge TTI for the last 3 years, which has seen its fair share of abuse too, but apart from a few scratches, it still looks brand new.
I also own a leatherman tread, but I kind of lost my love for it, honestly I don't think it's a good product.
I currently have my eyes on an OHT, mainly because of the "One handed everything" about it, which is often what I need when I reach for a multi tool.

Howdy MMR!
It may be a good idea to search the OHT on this site. There are a lot of mixed feelings about it. Some people love them, but there are die-hard Leatherman guys who despise it. One of my OHTs came with the jaws so misaligned, that I could use my fingers to bypass the jaws over one another.
LM fixed it, but the handle scales make it feel a bit less like a Leatherman, because they are kind of flimsy. The tools seem to work well and the scales don't hurt the function of them or the pliers. The pliers are a bit impeded by the thickness of the handles below the plier head when deployed. It has a lot of compromise, because of the all-OHT nature, but the OHT makes it somewhat worthwhile. IMO of course.

Main collections: SOG, Gerber, Leatherman, Victorinox. Also lots of cheap & cheerful tools.
