Robert has an amazing ability to take an idea and make it better.

I asked him to make me a SAK with only three blades: awl, main blade, and scissors.

"That's just a Pioneer X without an opening layer"

Yeah, an Alox Compact...but with an awl.

A short while later, the "Compacter" was born:




And, of course, it is far nicer than I imagined. Unreal attention to detail and a fit & finish that Swiss engineers only dream of.
