Syph007 brought another one of my dream knives to life (Thanks, Syph007!):(Image removed from quote.)I thought of this as being an Alox Compact; Robert named it the "Compacter."And it is.(Image removed from quote.)Just a beautiful knife, and one that feels good in the hand. Robert's textured scales give a great grip. He built this to my request, using my three favorite SAK tools, but exceeded my expectations. I'm just enthralled right now.......In comparison to the original Compact, the Compacter is a bit heavier: 70 grams vs. 64 grams. However, the Compacter is a 93mm SAK with a thicker knife blade and titanium scales. I feel the few extra grams is worth the size and durability.(Image removed from quote.)And, the Compacter is much thinner than the Compact. Not Cadet thin, but a very thin 10.6mm vs the Compact's 15mm thickness. The Compact is a great EDC, but after a short while carrying the Compacter, I think it is going to be an awlsome SAK to EDC. I'm in the middle of the Chuck Yeager Challenge with an Executive, so there won't be any extra photos for a while. After the CYC, the Compacter seems destined to be my new EDC.
Love those Orange scales!!!
