I'm glad the scissors worked out on your PL, RF52!

I don't think you'll ever find non-Vic scissors to be as good as Vic scissors(with exception to the Surge, that has the best MT scissors out there for heavy duty small-scissors tasks). And I think it boils down to the fact that Vic strongly goes after companies that rip-off their scissor design.
Which is understandable.

Personally I don't use scissors that much but I will test them some more for those of you who do use scissors

Day 2 continued (again)

Used the blade to make a sallad, it did good with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese, sweet pepper.
Not so good with onion and I didn't even try the lettuce.

Not impressed by the can opener, but it does the job

And a pic of dinner, eggs, bacon and tomato beans

Day 3:

Paper test for the scissors, they cut but are a bit awkward to use for long cuts so the result is not pretty but they do get the job done.

Used the bit holder to screw a signaling light in place. Works very well

Used the needlenose pliers to give the cable connections the final nudge to lock in the contact I like that they are really slim and pointy

And the wire cutter to strip  a couple of wires. So far I think they are very good.

Overall a good start of the day and the powerlock has been very good
Have also opened a few boxes, no pics.

Day 3 continued:

Used the flathead driver to open the engine cover inside a bus. Does what it's supposed to

Thanks guys I don't awlways use a MT this much, but it's been a lot of good tests for the Powerlock available at work

Day 3 continued:

Cut some hoses for a couple of coolant leaks. Works like a charm, but I may want to get a PE blade and serrated blade eventually.

Used the ruler to measure a lambda censor so I could get the right spanner, mostly just to see how easy/awkward it was to use. Probably works better for measuring where you want to cut something like wood or a metal sheeth

And the knife to open the packet the censor came in.

Also tried the wire crimper and used the phillips driver to check the rear lift on a rental car we used to get our new bed, got the lift to work and we got the bed home, no pics

Thanks for following guys, makes the whole challenge much more fun

Looks like the challenge is going well, RF :tu:

I love flinging those pliers around, but I’m not really a SOG guy because:

1. I broke two tools on my PL in one day

2. LM Wave. Nuff said  :multi:

yes I was wondering about he edge life of your PL  ???

SOG's HT is soft and the edges last very little time, so I was amazed that you had cut the hoses and all the stuff and had it still cutting well,
now you're in the Challenge but I bet your Benchmade would be ideal for so much cutting and dulling tasks   ;)

The powerlock cuts silicone hoses like butter, the black hose was reinforced with some kind of thread so a little tougher but it did a good job cutting that too The Benchmade is a superb cutter, but a bit too pretty for this dirty environment just yet Maybe when I've had it for longer, and finish the challenge of course

Day 4:

The file did a good job on removing sharp edges from a modified socket at work. A bit surprised that it removed metal at all considering how it looks. Only wish they had made it all the way to the edge to get a more useful file

No problem using the wood saw on small branches, had to test it while walking the dog in the woods

The knife was not perfect working with wood, but it's half serrated so did not expect it to be.
