I've been dreaming of finding a MTO cap (or 4 of them ::)) under the Christmas tree for two years in a row now, and it feels as if I will be dreaming of the same thing next year ...

Honestly, I'm beginning to lose hope in this ending well .

Well, I don't think you should count on getting one by Christmas. Hopefully sometime before spring.

I'm sorry to say it ...  :-[

But I'm seriously considering pulling out of this ... :-\

I've been going through some dark times, emotionally and financially, the past year or so, and I've got quite a bit of money (78,17€ or about $87 according to XE currency converter, for 4 caps and shipping) riding on this.  Money that I could've used on a number of urgent occasions these past couple of months ...

I'm not one to go back on his word, but desperate times call for desperate measures ...

Doesn't look like we're getting caps. I wrote mine off as a donation to the site some time ago(though in the remote chance caps do come, I'd like to get mine), but that was a personal choice, as my finances are fairly good right now.

T-G, definitely see if you can get your money back, man! Sounds like it is very necessary! Best of luck and hope your situation changes at soon, buddy!

Thanks my friend, happy to hear you're doing okay  :salute:.

The money would be welcome, especially since I'm out of a job at the moment ..., but I hate being the smurfhole who asks for a refund  ::)

I got my eye on another job, but it's not a done deal yet ...  :dwts:

Shame this has taken so long, I check in now and then hoping  :dunno:

I paid for one cap and two gid wrist bands. I've since made do with a pentagon branded cap so if possible could what I paid be donated to Top-Gear-24  :pok:

Maybe if the MTO store comes back with caps in stock I'll buy another one :tu:

That's a very kind of you my friend but there's no need for it  :hatsoff:.

I'm without a job at the moment because I handed in my resignation myself, and like I said, I've got my eye on something else and let's say I've got a good chance of getting that new job.

And we've had a couple of financial setbacks this past year, and things haven't been easy to say the least.  But we've always had enough to eat and drink, so I guess all the rest are just first world problems, compared to other people's problems.

Once again, thank you for your generous offer but I can not accept it, if you decide to go for a refund, use the money to get something you like (and seeing people posting pics from a new toy here always puts a smile on my face  ;)).

Thank you, my friend!

Turns out the fan restoration thing(started as a hobby last year) and lamp restoration side-business is taking off slowly, but surely. Just took in two fan repairs and two lamp repairs last week alone, with more supposedly on the way. :woohoo:

Sending positive vibes your way for the desirable job to come through! :)
I understand the jobless situation, as when I lived in NYC, I was jobless for four months, and those were some difficult times. :ahhh

Sorry to hear of the struggles, Eric. I've been through some very trying times myself over recent years. I hope things pick up for you soon. I wouldn't blame you for pursuing a refund. I've pretty much written it off, but I'm only down the cost of one.

I hope people get their calendars quicker than they get their hats...

Been thinking about these caps a few days ago too.
If they're not coming, just say so?
If there's nothing to refund, just say so too.
I'm sure most of us won't torch the place :D

Some good news, just started at my new job today.

Some bad news, still feeling the consequences of having some major setbacks and being without an income for some time.

And the new job... Well... It's something completely different compared to my previous job, and in only a couple of weeks time I went from being the one who answered everyone's questions, to being the one asking the questions  :(.

But the guys working there seem great, and the rest will come in time I guess.

Very happy to hear things are picking up!  :tu: Yeah, it'll take time to get caught up resolving all those prior issues, but at least you're not adding to them now, and can gradually work towards alleviating those consequences from before. I'm sure you'll be able to start answering questions again soon enough

It’s natural to feel unsure at a new job! Even moving from one department to another department in the same company. Glad to see you back to work.  :tu:
