Okay so I have this old style halogen mag and the light was just not cutting it. I didn't want to go out and buy a new flashlight, because I don't have the funds. And the upgrades cost money, but may or may not fit because of the bulb retaining ring being different on Xenons...
Then I remembered an $8 AA LED Rayovac I had lying in my dresser, so I tore it down and got the bulb out of it. IT FITS PERFECTLY IN MY MAGLITE.
Definitely a clearer light. Don't know if a bulb intended for AAs will last long but for a quick and dirty fix to get by till paycheck comes in it will do.
The small plastic light really limited the bulbs potential, the beam was not focused well, but now it's unleashed by the mags reflective housing . Only wish I knew the model name of the Rayovac to help others with Xenon Mags out...
