Question for Vic Caddy owners

Hey folks,
if any of you owns a Caddy or other 58mm model with removable (old-style) ink pen, can you tell me if the latter can be swapped for a toothpick and vice-versa? In other words, is the scale that holds the removable pen the same as a standard scale, or is it specific to that tool?

It's a different scale. It's thicker than the regular scale. You'd need to swap scales if you want a toothpick/tweezers instead of the pen.

Or maybe you're asking something else:

The scale in itself has the same inserts to be attached to the SAK body. You can replace it with any other from a regular Classic.

Thanks, but I'm talking about the older removable pen, the kind that comes all the way out like a toothpick.
I don't know if you need thicker scales for that.
