You made me start searching again. Thanks I know in 1864, the Shapleigh firm adopted DIAMOND EDGE as the brand for their tools and cutlery. According to Goins Knife book, Shapleigh Hardware used the Diamond Edge trademark from 1864-1960. DE was also used by Norvell-Shapleigh from 1902-1915 I don't know for who made the knives or tools for them but Ulster had DE on their shield before ww2. So best guess Ulster.From the 1961 Ulster catalog.
