If it's cake that's gone missing, it's probably MMR.

I too was Dad's remote - knob on the right for the channels (like you said, three of them), knob on the left for volume... or was it the other way about?
You had two knobs?  :ahhh

I still have...

It's a well known fact within conspiracy circles that the Finnish have been making up most of their words to confuse everyone else. They've been trolling us for centuries.

My question is, who started with long words first ?  The Finns or was it the Welsh or maybe the New Zealanders  (or someone else entirely) ?

The Aztecs had some pretty long words.

The Neanderthals had the following word: 'uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuughhhhhhhhh' for the satisfying escape of wind after a large feast of roasted mammoth

That twas the longest word in the world until the 1200's.  :salute:

My neighbour Darren Mattingly invented the following word; 'Pickledonionroastbeefspicytomatoflavour' which describes the product you end up with when you mix the flavours of Monster Munch together in a big bowl.

Both words are valid Finnish, but still quite artificial. Neither has any actual use and as for the latter specimen, even the meaning is rather difficult to decipher.

Meanwhile, in other news: Mynd you, møøse bites Kan be pretty nasti... We apologise again for the fault in the subtitles. Those responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked have been sacked.

How else can you say "The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the slider, climber of mountains, the land-swallower who travelled about, played his nose flute to his loved one"?

Quote
Some forms of the name are longer still: "Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaurehaeaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu" has 92 letters. An even longer version, Taumata-whakatangihanga-koauau-o-Tamatea-haumai-tawhiti-ure-haea-turi-pukaka-piki-maunga-horo-nuku-pokai-whenua-ki-tana-tahu, has 105 letters and means "The hill of the nose-flute playing by Tamatea – who was blown hither from afar, had a slit smurf, grazed his knees climbing mountains, fell on the earth, and encircled the land – to his beloved one".
