When not doing a challenge, the Surge gets more EDC than any other MT I have. I'm always amazed that the Surge is less expensive than the Charge and the same price as a Wave+. Definite bang-for-the-buck.

I will be very happy with the Surge 

The only problem for me is the blades
Especially for EDC
So will have to be careful where
I carry the Surge and the Wave+

I checked out a recent production Surge , the build quality was good , similar to the Wave+ , The T Shank/SDS Jigsaw blade adaptor was self compensating for the thickness of the blade tang . I would be totally chuffed , if it had a 154CM blade .

I wonder if you could get a written statement from your boss that says you need your OHO MTs at work? 

I am not familiar with the stipulations and laws where you're at, so sorry if that is a dumb idea.

Both of my Surges are good quality. My only complaint is the pivot bolt turns a little sometimes making the blade ever-so-slightly harder to open one-handed. That is a small thing and not a deal breaker for me personally. Surge is made for heavy-duty work, and not over-thinking.

I just think the two-tone Surge is a pinnacle piece from LM in a lot of ways. I hope you enjoy it.

Just be careful, because most Surges are stiff as smurf and need a lot of break in time.

Yes it is a bit stiff at the moment
I have just given it a wipe over with a
cloth to get all the grease and the BO residue 

Checked all the tools and that they lock properly
And so far everything works as it should love the quality

As a scissor appreciator you have to try them scissors    ...I do like them a lot

Agreed. The Surge scissors are arguably the best LM have to offer at the moment. There are mods around that have a shortened version of these in a Wave or Charge, IIRC.

Just want to add that for the Wave it would be easier to install a pair of Wingman scissors or Vic SAK scissors. The Surge ones need much more modding to make them fit, I think. I couldn't find the thread I was looking for with Surge scissors mods for the Wave - but shortening the blades by quite a bit and adapting the liner lock surface would be necessary.

Finally Ordered the black pocket clip for the
Surge tried the silver pocket clip and it looks
ok but I think the black one will look even better
