I would rather eliminate that mini driver. Has anyone ever actually used that thing?  I remember when it came out. It looked cool as hell. Nearly worthless. LM basically admitted it by replacing it on the new Surge.

Quite regularly, except the flat bit breaks much too easily and isn't sold by itself. I actually broke mine on a set screw holding on a towel rack. But on glasses and electronics, it should not break. The standard fold-out one on models like the PST don't break as easily.

Why would the police need a file as one of the outside opening tools?

Seems a one handed scissor would be more practical daily use. Also needs some kinda glass breaker. I suppose you could use the pliers head in a pinch but dedicated glass breakers are life savers.

On that regard, I'm quite frankly surprised it didn't come with the Skeletool RX glass breaker bit. Easy enough addition.

Do you mean the mini driver combo bit isn't sold? I can swear I have seen it in the accessories page of the Leatherman website.

That must be something new. I just noticed they now sell a three pack of those. Need to get a couple.

Cool... but am I the only one missing the bottle/can opener?
I'd rather replace the mini-bit exchanger for an awl  :salute:

No I agree!  It would be excellent to have the awl and have the bottle/can opener by replacing the small bit holder!  Good idea!   :tu:

Well, you don't actually have to take the can opener out if you want an awl. But then you'll have to reduce the latter in size somewhat. Maybe not quite as much as in my ReWaveR, since that needs more space for the Rebar pliers head's cheeks, but still a bit IIRC.

In addition to my earlier post about the special Leatherman Wave+ for the Dutch Police, I now have a picture of the whole set, so including multitool, pouch, packing, labels and instruction manuals and guides.
The LM instruction guide is from 2018.
