Offloading more surplus. (Lots of shiny goodies)
on: September 03, 2018, 11:32:55 PM
There'll be lots of stuff up for grabs in this thread, probably more than I can upload in one sitting, so I'll keep tagging items on as I go.

I'll get the boring tedious stuff out of the way first, to stop me posting it again with each listing.  :D

General points to note for all sale items:
1) Over 18s only. Items must be legal to acquire and own wherever you are.
2) Buyer is responsible for any import taxes, duties, or additional costs from third parties after despatch.
3) All prices are in Pounds Sterling (GBP)
4) Items may take up to a week to be despatched due to health issues. I'll get them away as soon as I can, but please don't expect immediate despatch.
5) All payments via Paypal
6) If you think my prices are a little off, feel free to contact me via PM to discuss. No open forum haggling or lowballing please.
7) If you need any more information or pics, please do ask. I want you to be 100% aware and happy before committing.

Shipping Costs:
For simplicity, packaging and postage will be combined. No matter how many items you buy there will be one flat rate shipping cost.
UK £5.00, Europe £9.00, Rest of the World £12.00 (Tracked and Traced where applicable)
I am not responsible for which areas in the world the tracking works, and in which areas it doesn't  ;)

I may be able to offer lower shipping costs on lower costs items, if I know you've bought from me before, and if we're both happy to so "standard" rather than tracked and traced.

Enough words, time for piccies ...  :D

Original SOG Switchplier

New Switchplier and bit kit has already been sold, so this listing is just for the original version (the one with the Phillips driver)

Condition: Consider this lightly used. The deployment and pliers work exactly as they should, but please be aware that this tool was discontinued due to a weakness in the pliers, and this should really be considered a collector item rather than a user. I will not be held responsible for the pliers crapping out if you try to put it to work  :pok:

NOTE: This is probably not the original toolset, as I have done some swapping around in the past. I do have some additional SOG parts lying around if you want a different toolset. Contact me via PM to discuss.

Price £35.00 + Shipping

Buck X-Tracts (Fin and Essential)

There is a black Fin, a black Essential and a silver/grey Essential. In the following image, the Fin is at the bottom with the pliers, and the upper two are Essentials.

Swissbuck Sidekick

Essentially a Wenger Traveller which was released in collaboration with Buck Knives. Features the same clip blade as featured on the Soft Touch range.

Condition: Good, used condition. Not mint, but would be a great knife for users and many collectors.

Wenger Metal 50

One for the alox fans maybe? Aluminium scaled version of the Wenger Traveller.

Condition: I would say good used condition. There are a few little dinks and scratches in the scales which I've tried to capture in the pics. The bulk of these could be buffed out if desired I reckon, but as it stands it does look like it's been carried. Aside from that, all the tools and springs are in good condition.

Ulster Barlow.

Condition: Used. There's definitely some mileage on this knife. Blades are stained and scratched, but there's still plenty of life in the old girl yet.

Gerber MP400 & MP450

Both tools are new and unused. The 400 is still in the box, but the 450 isn't.

:ahhh :ahhh    POTENTIAL KNIFELESS MOD ALERT!!!    :ahhh :ahhh

There's two ways I can deal with these two items. I can either sell each separately for £32 each + shipping, OR I can do a knifeless mod with these, and sell you a "MP425" mod with file and scissors (no blade) for £50 + shipping. I would then keep the residual parts for spares for my own tools.

I'd prefer to give someone who needs a knifeless tool the opportunity to get this modification, so if you are only interested in one tool (unmodified), I'd like to wait a few days to see if there's any takers on the knifeless mod first before going ahead with individual sales  :salute: I hope that sounds agreeable to everyone

Another knifeless tool, but not modified this time ...

NIB Knifeless Fuse

The Knifeless Fuse was for many years THE knifeless tool option to have, offering a file instead of the usual knife blade on the regular Fuse.

Leatherman stock image

I built my own using a different toolset, and have an array of other knifeless mods, so I'm going to let this one go. Finding one of these in mint condition is no easy task, but I'm going to offer this up for £75, which is over £10 cheaper than the Rebar EDC at Heinnies. The box is just a standard drawer type, so I just slid it open for a pic or two. I have opened the tool up once or twice in the past to look at, but it has never been used or carried.

Wenger Alinghi Souvenir
(Yes, you guessed it, another Traveller variation)

Sorry, not the sharpest photo that one.  ::) Knife has never been used or carried, and comes with paperwork and the cardboard sleeve over the metal hinged box. Unlike the Metal 50 and EU Traveller listed earlier, this one does have the toothpick and tweezers.

25th Anniversary Wave  :ahhh

No box or paperwork with this one, and it has been carried and lightly used. I was considering keeping this one as my "unmodified" Wave, as I built myself a knifeless one with dedicated drivers instead of the bit drivers. However, the reality is that I'm always going to lay my hands on the knifeless one first, which means this one can find a new home elsewhere. Hard to put a price on an Anniversary Wave which has actually seen (light) duty, but I'm going to offer this one up at £100, which is 20% cheaper than a brand new regular Wave at Heinnies in the UK. I'll include the pocket clip, which I don't think the Anniversary model came with - or at least it didn't when I got it.

Case Seahorse Whittler

I'm not entirely convinced these photos do this knife justice - so I might need to have another go at those pics when my eyes are working better.  ::) This has been carried a couple of times, but has hardly cut anything. It's had far more fondling time than working time, that's for sure  :P I absolutely adore the main blade and the feel of this knife, but I seem to have developed an irrational dislike of traditional knives with more than two blades.  :dunno: Weird, I know!

I've been on the fence about parting with this for a few years now, as I genuinely think the Seahorse is one of Case's best looking patterns, but I'm going to be brave and slap a price tag on this of £50 which means that I won't be too heartbroken if it does sell, but also not too heartbroken if it doesn't   :D

As trades have been mentioned openly, I'll say to all that this is primarily a fundraising exercise for me. The only things I might be interested in as part of a deal is a Pioneer X or Executive, as I plan to build a mod with each of those at some point. I can't think of anything else I'm looking for.

Items taken:

Ulster barlow
X-Tract Fin
Wenger Alinghi
Wenger EU Traveller

All other items are available, though I have received an offer on one item which I'll be considering if nobody snatches it at list price.

I hope to get a few more items listed tomorrow  :tu:
