You're welcome!  :tu:

It's a about 25 years old Marttiini 250/2 Leuku. I used it through my teen years and military service. If you sniff it, you can still smell the smoke of campfires it's been close to ;)

Later on it's not been used so much and I really wanted it to get a new home where it would be appreciated and used like it deserves.  :pok:

So, I thought you, Broseph, would be a good choice.

Great looking knife Styx.  I love my Marttiini Lynx which has to be one of sharpest knives I own.

What a gent you are Aleph.  :hatsoff:

well it took an edge well. it has a few minor deformations near the belly and the tip but that will come out with time as it would mean removing too much material at once.
the new stone is also a pleasure to use. just gotta get used to it since i was mostly using ceramic before ad holding both the stone and the knife in my hands.
as you can see on one pic I got a nice reflection of my shirt.

so decided to make some beans. skinning the bacon was surprisingly easy given the blade length and that I'm more used to smaller knives. slicing and chopping felt natural

Oh and about the patina, most of it was on it when I bought it... It was sold a "second quality" or "factory second", with that unpolished blade and unfinished handle with no clearcoat  :pok:

I think it was about half the price...

so it was sold to be a working tool and not a shelf queen that looks pretty? good to know considering it has a very nice companion for me since it arrived for a lot of minor tasks (the Spirit challenge did put a damper on it a bit)
