Swissgrip Sheath
on: November 29, 2008, 08:12:35 PM
Homemade. Or should I say, home modified... Took me the whole Friday, but worth every second.

I had this cellphone pouch for ages. Too bulky for EDC, even though there's plenty of room for goodies. Plus, it had a bright logo of a local phone service provider on it. So I scratched off the logo (with the Swissgrip bottle opener) and sewn an artist's impression of the Wenger cross and shield in its place. Wonder if I will get sued now.  :-X

The Velcro on the back gets undone easily, so I improvised a belt loop just in case. In retrospective, two loops would be better. I'm afraid to cut the stitches again, lest my precious be destroyed in the process.

The sheath will be carried horizontally, as I do not wish to stab myself with the jaws. In the next picture, you can clearly make out the hole cut in the covering. Edges are reinforced with a lot of amateur stitches.

Sheath in carry mode and the Swissgrip side by side. I don't know which brings me more joy.  :multi:

Nice one. :salute:  I can never be bothered sewing unless I really have to.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.
