Yeah, the only thing bad about Jalapenos in the morning is that they make me want to drink beer.  7am is just a little early, even for a Saturday...

Day 5: wedding today.

Thank you! I am fond of the boots myself. They are my “dress boots” most of the time. I will get a better pic once I get inside.

Here you go. Bought them at a bootshop in Sevierville Tennessee. Supposedly handmade if I recall correctly. I believe it as there are no brand markings.  My every day pair are a pair of slip on Tony Lama work boots. I have abused them at times and they get right through it. Had them for a few years and if I polished them up they’d look brand new. They have steel toe and steel plate in the sole, but are quite heavy. I am looking for a non-steel toe boot for the days where I need something lighter. Some days I wear these but they are a little nice for every day wear.

5/30 (yesterday )

Busy day but not much use for a knife. Opened a couple of birthday presents, popped a balloon to get at the sweet inside and not much else.

Day 6/30

Chopping fruit for breakfast this morning.  Did a bit more with it today - breaking down some boxes with the sheepsfoot blade, trimming threads with the spey blade

Update on the sharpening: I spent about an hour with one of the blades (when I should have been doing other things..), starting from scratch at 30 degrees inclusive. Finished it on the ultra fine stones and stropped them both on leather. Edge is much better now, and slightly polished too. I will continue to work on the edges as i get spare time but I am happy with them for now.

Its basically just keep myself under 2,000 calories each day while maintaining adequate nutrition. I need to cut about 20 pounds give or take. That meal was probably about 450 calories with the milk, had a few sunflower seeds for lunch (100 calories) and had pasta with meat sauce for dinner. (guessing about 1200 calories). That brings the total to about 1850. I also had a very small snack at some point. Probably finished the day at about 2,000 because there is always something you forget.

Today dinner will be small. Started with a banana (105) and a Powerade (200). Lunch was a couple of Pizza bagels from Einstein's. (at least 800, lets say 1,000). Dinner will probably be chicken and rice, but will have to keep portion small. I will probably end up at 2200 today honestly, but going to the gym every morning that should be good enough.

I did this diet for 6 months ast year and was in the gym 2.5-3 hrs a day and lost over 30 pounds and then gained like 5-10 back in muscle, then I let myself get unhealthy again. This time, I am taking it easier at the gym, like 1-2 hours. Trying to lose weight and sculpt at a slower pace so I do not get burnt out. Another thing that I did not do right last time was at least half of my 1800-2200 calories every day was junk food and I was exhausted all the time.

I always have my S&W 442, but don't usually include it in the pictures.  ;)

Is that an Avispa?  I have one in OD and stonewashed D2. Nice knife.

I love my 442! It gets a good bit of carry time as well. What load do you carry in it? And that is an Ontario Rat folder of some variation

Oh, a RAT-1. It seems like ESEE are always copying Ontario's knives one way or another.  They are strikingly similar, but the ESEE has a drop point.

Currently I'm carrying Remington +P SJHP 125gr in my 442.  They're good rounds for the price.  What do you carry?

I carry the old FBI load in my 442PC, either Buffalo Bore or Federal. Whatever I have at the time. 158 Gr. +P LSWCHP.

I want to take the dang weapon light off for looks sake but it is functional and nice to have, same with the laser grips. I have to remind myself function comes first.

In my .380 I believe I have 95 gr HST, but don’t quote me on that.

I also carry other things on various occasions on my belt, but those are my main pocket guns.

I usually carry the 442 IWB, sometimes in pocket.  My only other carry is a G26 w/Gold Dot +P IWB.

I love pocket carry b/c you can wear whatever and you have the opportunity to have your hand ready with no one noticing if you are in a situation that could potentially be threatening. I do have big legs though so it is harder for me than some.
