Well,

As surprising as this may seem, I'm wanting to sell my old cross pioneer. You've probably seen it in many of my posts in the couple months I've had it. It's a great knife, but I just keep reaching for my old standby black pioneer  :dunno:

As I'm not really one for shelf queens, I'm offering it up. Not looking to make any money off it, just recover my costs.

All tools have good walk and talk. The blade has been sharpened and has some scratches and marks. I reset the edge on my lansky, and it is sharp. The can opener edge has also been touched up in the past.

It originally came with a bail, but it was missing when I got it. I have a modern bail from a Wenger SI (via hiraethus) that fits perfectly. It's not currently installed and I can leave it off or put it on (I'll send it with the knife either way).

Edit to add: this knife also has brass liners. Based upon the bail, +PAT can opener and the Elinox stamp, it was most likely made in the 60's. The blade also has small swedges from the factory between the nail nick and the tip. I *think* these may be an earlier feature which would indicate early 60's, but that's only a guess :dunno:

There is wear on the alox, but I think it looks good.

I tried to capture this in the pics, but it was dark last night. I can take additional pics tonight if needed. I'll also include some of my recent "posed" pics.

Asking price is $50 + $5 shipping CONUS or shipping at cost to the rest of the world (no tracking). PayPal only.

I'd also entertain a trade for a new shield red pioneer (not the LE berry color).

These two overly processed images highlight the scratching on the blade. It doesn't look quite as bad in real life, but does show up when you tilt it in the light.
