Well looks like I will need to return that Bering Time Traveler after all. Although I did manage to get the watch synced a few times, the hands do not move. Meaning the watch is more than useless as it won't show proper time.

Ouch. Sorry to head that, Chako. Are you going to get an exchange or refund?

Here is the Shark Bonnethead. I do have an issue with this watch. Because there aren't any strap lugs off the main body, I can just barely use the last hole on the leather bracelet strap. The end strap sticks out as it is too short for the closest keeper. I need to source a longer strap for this watch if I want to wear it any.

And a bonus shot of one of my Blue Angels SkyHawk. I need to dive in to the booklet as I have sort of forgotten how to set the time for the LCD.

The Bonnethead is a good looking watch. Congrats on getting it!
But, the SkyHawk is just awesome looking, Chako! Glad you got it going. :)

You may need to contact Shark about the band. It looks to be a proprietary band, but I could be wrong. Could you post a photo of the back of the watch? If the band pin channel is straight, then an aftermarket strap would work great. If the channel is curved or uses a proprietary mount, then an email to Shark would probably get you somewhere with getting a band that works for you. :)

I had the band off...it is straight and should be good for a new band when I can source one.  :tu:

Yes, the SkyHawks are amazing watches. Ever wonder how to use the sliding ring on one?

Today was a good day. One watch came via mail...and on time at that. A bit surprised actually as Canada Post has started rotating strikes across the nation. The one I got by mail I nicknamed the Liberace but made by Techno King. I was curious about those crystal adorned watches for the hip hop crowd. I am sure under the right lighting it should blind folks.

Today, I went to the local Winners and found a slightly different assortment of watches. Two of which are fairly cheap Geoffrey Beene dress watches...both claiming to have real diamond(s) in them. They were found in the discount section and got both for under $20 Canadian each. Can't complain for that price...and both do look rather dressy.

And they had this new to me brand...ever hear of Electric California? Yeah, neither have I. I googled the company and apparently they make fashion glasses and accessories. Interesting chronograph with lock down crown/buttons on a Nato strap. I really like the nice clean white watch face with rotating ring. This one is a real looker in my humble opinion.

Yeah...so 4 more watches to the growing family. I would call that a good day lol.

That is one of those unique watches that is so good looking, the brand isn't that important. Would love to see more chronograph watches that have that clean look. :)

Thanks guys. I wore the watch once to work already. It has a nice weight to it.

I just ordered another 24 watch case.

Got another 5 watches on order from the internet. 2 cheap skeleton automatics (time to see if they are any good), another smart type watch (not Android wear), and 2 more interesting watches that are a bit different to what I curently have. Not sure why I keep trying my hand at smart watches...this one does not have a rechargeable battery. Curiosity I guess.

Some of the less expensive Chinese made skeleton automatics are good watches. I had an Armitron skeleton auto at one point and it kept excellent time. I did eventually sell it when I downsized my watch collection. I had tried to make myself whittle down to 50 watches, because of the high maintenance involved. That number has crept up though.  :ahhh

I think I’m in the teens, but you know what, if I had the “perfect” watch and I like it, I think everything else would be a waste, well, maybe one other as a dress watch..

It would be:
Perfect time
Day
Date
Solar
And be able to take a beating or water..
Thus the Casio I pretty much wear every day, it shows everything at once, solar, yet it’s also atomic so you know it’s right. Now if I had another that wasn’t plastic or digital then we’re taking dress,

With that said, my Liberace watch is the one my students want to see me wearing more often.

Anyhow, these are the watches I have coming to me sooner or later (not my photos)

1. Biden watch which is slim, blue, and full featured. Curious to see if the day is in French or in English. Good either way.

2. Kronen & Söhne Royal Carving automatic watch. I went for it out of curiosity and the watch appears to have a lot of good comments on Amazon.

3. This OHSEN digital watch simply because it is very different from many other watches out there.

4. LYMFHCH automatic watch. I found the styling very different from the other offerings out there.

5. I like watches with bold red buttons. I found this JeiSo smart watch because I was looking for such watches on Amazon. This one comes with a non-rechargeable battery, and I am curious to see how good this one is compared to a few others. Bonus marks because it says "Keep Longing" on the watch face.  :tu:

Just arrived...a few more watches.

Found this Watchitude slap band watch at the local Dollar store.

This KS watch is nice and big.

The other automatic came in...smaller than the KS above...but just as nice looking.

And the blue BiDen came in also. The online photos are a bit deceiving...I find the blue face very hard to read in regards to the 3 smaller sub dials.

Just got another 3 watches in.

I spied this Geoffrey Beene dress watch. I really like the slightly darker metal case and band on this one.

Another Electric California...this one is rated for 200m.

Not sure. There are a few watches in box 2 that I will eventually remove and store elsewhere to make room for better and/or more interesting watches. Likewise, I have a self winder box that will hold 10 watches. Those will hold all of the automatics which will remove 6 or 7 more spots in these watch boxes. So yeah...I should still have plenty of room...but once that is all full will be my time to quit. That should total around 82 watches. Almost 3 months of daily rotation.

Yes, that is a good goal. Watches definitely don't hold up well like MTs do. I whittled down, because of the high-maintenance involved. And I still find about 65 watches a time/money consuming endeavor.
Quartz movement coils/quartz controllers will go bad with fresh batteries and automatic movements gum up when not worn periodically.  :ahhh
