I love MTs an SAKs for that same reason. I put some drying oil on them and they are good. :woohoo:

Just pulled the trigger on a Lad Weather Sensor Master watch. Curious to see how it will stack up to my Casio Pathfinder PAW1500.

Collected a while ago but got bored with it. Mostly Doxa divers. Sold them all and went mostly quartz.
Got these three left.

And one old auto I bought over 35 years ago.

Nice watches.

Just added two more...a Ted Baker. I liked its simplistic lines...not sure about the name...aware that it is a fashion watch...but I liked the looks of it.

My third Invicta...an S1 Chronograph.

Love the S1, Chako! :like:

The Baker looks interesting. Only thing about it that seems odd(to me anyway. And you know I'm crazy) is the color of the hour, minute, and second hands. Is it the photo, or are those like a burgundy/cordovan mahogany color? The watch would look fantastic with grey/dark grey hands. The day/date hands look good with the sage color on them. Case, band, and dial are really nice too. :)

You are correct in the colour. They do pop though...making this watch super easy to read.

I have another 6 watches ordered online...held up I think by Canada Post with their rotating strikes. I have 1 regular digital watch, 1 smart watch, and 4 ABC watches.

True true. Grey hands might disappear on the watch.

It probably looks less "odd" in person. The watch as a whole is attractive like the Electric California watches you have. A lot of it is the fact I have never seen that color on watch hands. Enjoy, sir! :)

Still waiting on several Amazon purchases to grace my door...but two have arrived.

This is an ABC watch from Pyle Sports.

The manual is suitably thick.

I had read that the negative display had a greenish tinge to it...so I made sure the surrounding bezel matched.

Here is the Altimeter mode along with the accompanying graph mode. As you can see, the watch hasn't been moved much in the past 36 hours.

The compass mode.

And my absolute favorite feature on any watch....the barometer with accompanying graph mode. I also like how this watch takes this a step further much like the Timex WS4 by giving you a small weather forecasting icon.

The back of the watch.

And how it looks when worn.

I have a special fondness for ABC watches ever since I bought a Casio PAW1500 back in 2009. This watch has an interesting tracking mode as well. It will record everything from point A to point B on a trip. Kind of a neat feature that.

My next arrival is a Jeiso smart watch. This was a fairly cheap smart watch bought out of curiosity. What attracted me was that red button. My first impressions, a somewhat feature rich watch that appears to be somewhat accurate in its steps taken, etc. I haven't paired it up with my cell phone, not really seeing a need to do so right now. The health functions work well enough without the app. I do not need my watch giving me notifications as the cell phone is always in my front pocket anyhow. The crystal is convex, making a photograph a bit difficult without getting any glare. Likewise, the crystal also distorts the reading a little unless you are almost face on. Another bit of an issue, the negative display is a bit hard to read in some lighting. The light function is somewhat dim as well. For the price, it amazes me what you can get feature-wise however. I still find the "Keep Longing" inscription hilarious. The watch band is a silicon affair that leaves a lot to be desired. It is super comfortable but will pick up every dust particle around. It is also a bit too pliable, especially when it comes to the watch band loops. Overall, an interesting watch to add to the collection.

The manual, although less thick, is probably more important for this watch. There are many multi pressing of buttons for 3 or more seconds to access features of this watch. All I can say is this...if you lose this manual, pray they have another one online somewhere because this is one watch that will confound most. I felt like I was doing the Vulcan nerve pinch a few times to manually set the time. The instructions state that if you pair it via Bluetooth to a watch, it will upload automatically the time and date to the watch. The manual settings are a bit fun to accomplish on this one.

All I need is a link or two for that Fossil to fit me properly.

Here is something of interest,

I bought a LAD Weather ABC watch online for 100 bucks. After doing my purchase, I found a similar watch for almost half the price from Pyle Sports. I bought that one in green out of curiosity. I mean, that Pyle Sports is super cheap for an ABC watch. Well the Pyle Sport came in a while back...and yesterday, the LAD Weather Sensor Master came in as well. To my chagrin, both watches are identical right down to the watch band. Interestingly enough, the back of each watch is different with the brand identification...but that is about it. So now i have a nice black and a nice green ABC watch. From what I can tell, the Pyle Sports is a super duper steal of a deal.

Thank God I bought a different colour each time.

One of my oldest purchases...dating back to the 4th of November finally came in. I must say, I really like this cheap OHSEN watch. I bought it because it had dancing folks on the LCD screen. Super easy to read if a bear to set up. I didn't bother reading the instructions, but managed to set the watch up...so a bit proud at my stubbornness in persevering without reading the manual.

The watch is thick for what it is...but it is different.

Also bought this Electric California watch at Winners. I am a big fan of Electric California watches...this being my third. I find them of high quality for the price. This one reminded me of the 70s as my mother had a pair of sunglasses with the same pattern and colour. The second hand is a striking lightning bolt. I also love how the crown is at the 4 o'clock position. This one  however, needs two more links to make the watch fit me better. Going to my go to place to see if they can do that. Hopefully they will be able to source me some links.

Very cool watches! :like:

Seems the LAD is another example of paying for brand reputation. :ahhh
Though, and I may be wrong, it seems the Pyle display isn't quite as sharp as the LAD display. Is that correct or just the photo?

Newest addition...and a bit of a weird one at that..

Found this guy in one of the local pawn shops brand spanking new. I just removed the paper protector on the watch band before taking these photos.

Nice looking Citizen with day and date. When I first spied this in the pawn shop, the bottom logo was covered by the hands. I at first thought it said Matterhorn or something like that, but I found out later the logo is that of an Australian coal mining firm called Mastermyne.,How it ended up in a Canadian pawn shop in Northern Ontario...well...I am sure there is a good story to be found there.
