Thanks. This is my first from Wenger. I do have a Swiss Military by Chrono in my collection.

I have played with the notion of buying a Casio G-Shock GX56BB-1. For about a few days now, I have added one to my cart in Amazon...and then I would delete it, etc. Today, I was going to get it when I noticed the price went up 10 dollars. I have to wonder if they saw someone was interested in it and raised the price. I am happy they did, as I have come to my senses and will not buy it now.  :ahhh

Got a spot of bad news. Finally got word on what is wrong with my Citizen Skyhawk. Apparently needs to be completely refurbished, at the tune of $310 Canadian. I told them not to do it. They will ship back the watch to me  un-repaired. I could add a few hundred more and get a completely new one. Although the watch has sentimental value...it shall remain nonworking for now.

Sort of tells me to never buy another Citizen. Not sure how the watch could have done this unless the ravages of time worked its magic. I baby my watches. :facepalm:

Found this interesting watch. The case looks like a giant Lego piece.



Inside is a neat looking BMW branded chronograph watch produced by Ice Watch. I guess it is a Belgian company with their watches being made in China...or so my quick research told me.

Got a G-Shock GA140 on its way...just ordered a few hours ago.

I tried a few very cheap watches, and it is really hit or miss with them. Those that are good are very good, and those that aren't, just are not. I have noticed a few watches where the interior condenses with moisture. Especially on a hot day with a blast of AC on it during a long drive. Never an issue with a Casio. So I am currently focusing on G-Shock watches.

I decided to put all of my Casio watches in one display box. Thinking I have a bit more room to get me a few more to fill it up. I am currently waiting on 2 more G-Shocks to get here. A G9000-1V Mudman, and a cool looking GA140-1A4 that was just released this August in North America. This should mean I have 4 extra spots. I plan on getting a Rangeman sometime thereafter...but still undecided.

Thanks Wspeed.

I wore the Mudman today. I will say, the 6 bottom nubs did not bother me as much as I thought it might after reading about the issue online. Quite the opposite. This is a very comfortable watch to wear. I really appreciate the extra long watch band that it comes with. The watch looks and wears smaller than it is, which just adds to the overall comfort. I can see why this model gets accolades.

I do have some cheap watches that do something I find grievious in a watch...condensation buildup inside the watch. I will probably get those out of the collection sooner or later. That could free up some room down the road.

I also gave a real nice student a pair of my cheaper Casios today. He was very proud of the 4 dollar watch he wears everyday. I find it refreshing for someone his age to even wear one. Now at least he can wear something more durable...and I freed up two Casio spots for more g shocks or pathfinder/protrek models down the road.
