I only mentioned that Seiko 5 because it is so similar to that Citizen. I wonder if you would be happy with that Citizen considering what you are really looking for. All I can do is look at more watches on Amazon. If I come across anything close I will pass the link to you. :tu:

Not my photo, but this is the latest purchase...and the package is on its way. Going to see which comes sooner, the Casio or the Kingwear smart watch.

I was more attracted to the world globe.

My watch winder case came in today. Guess I can eventually see myself filling up this one with automatics. I did put the 5 I currently have in there.

Looks like I should go visit the downtown Walmart more often. The main store hardly carries anything of interest in watches. There were a few more models I have my eye on at this downtown Walmart. Unfortunately, no G-Shocks from Casio...however I did find these two nice looking Casio watches on sale.

I have a G-Shock on its way that is in red. I saw this and thought I should get it as well. I only paid 15 dollars for it. It is a Casio W-214HC-4AVCF.

This Casio was also on sale, for 30 dollars. They had a regular black model, but this gold and black was nicer looking. The model on this one is AEQ-200W-9AVCF.

Still waiting for that Android wear smart watch.

Today, I received my watch case press which came with a few watch tools. I still have no clue what the small vial of grease...if that is what it is...is used for. Is it used to lubricate band pins and barrels?

Oddly enough, the press came under the 35 dollar minimum for free shipping. I do not belong to Amazon Prime. I perused the other items the seller sold and found something I will find useful. A Jewelers ring sizing kit. That pushed me up a little over the minimum...which meant I got that for half price off considering how much they wanted to charge me for shipping.

Very nice kit, Chako! :like:

The grease is for rejuvenating the o-rings in watch cases when you put them back together. Remove the o-ring and put a light coat of the grease on the o-ring(along with dry towel cleaning the gasket channel). Wipe off excess and the seal will be better than using dry gaskets.  :)
If you are a diver, the sealibg grease will prevent salt water from rotting the seal.

Congrats on all the watch tools. The last tools you may need are confidence and patience. :tu:

I re-visited the downtown Walmart. I found out that they are trying to get out of selling watches. I picked up another 3 different models that caught my eye.

I got this one because it is a wave ceptor model.

The tough solar was a bit more expensive than the others. I do like the green on it.

Last but not least, a nice dress watch.

I am having way too much fun buying cheap Casio watches on sale. I found this one for 20 dollars and thought it would go well with another recent purchase due to the colour scheme. The newer watch on the right is a AE1000W-1A3V

Awesome Casios, Chako#
It is a slippery slope for sure.
I did manage to slow down my Casio-crutch at six of them, but the appeal is understandable. :)

Now you need an orange $40 Chrono. :D

How about this Seiko 5 automatic?   :pok:

https://www.amazon.ca/Seiko-Mens-SNK805-Automatic-Watch/dp/B000LTAY1U/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1538457267&sr=8-3&keywords=Seiko+5+watch&dpID=51bd2MB3PyL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

I read lots of posts here about how amazing Seiko 5 is. I bought one some time ago. After about a little over one year, just when the warranty expired, I noticed it got a few minutes ahead everyday. After some time, it was getting a couple of hours ahead everyday! I took it to the store where I bought it and the repair would cost €80+/-. Since I payed €110 for it, I just put it away in a drawer.

Apparently, some of the machines produced in a certain time interval had a problem. The balance mechanism would break and you'd need to replace almost the entire mechanism.

I awlready had Timex in my "don't buy, advice against" list. Now, Seiko 5 is in that list, too.

Like anything, there will be duds. But, with that said, the Seiko '5' is among the most reliable budget automatics. I wouldn't condemn them, because of one example. :tu:
I have several of them and all of them keep good time, even the ones that haven't been serviced since they were made 20-30 years ago. :)

I just revived two of my older Citizen watches with new batteries. Both purchased in the late 90s, Surprisingly enough, I saw the right hand watch in a small local jewelry store in their discount section, brand spanking new. When I told them I had one of those and they haven't made that model in over a decade...the man quietly told me he had that watch for probably a little longer. He seemed rather eager to unload it on me for some reason.

The lumen on that dual display watch is excellent. The Chrono...not so much.
