Bonjour

The Leatherman Pulse was introduced in 2000 and discontinued in 2004. It along with the Super Tool 200 were the first and only tools in the Leatherman lineup that had a rocker type locking system. It had the same tool loadout as the PST II with the exception that it had a plain edge blade versus the semi-serrated knife blade of the PST II. It also had rolled edge handles which was a major improvement over the bare edge handles of the Leatherman line before it, with the exception of the Wave.

I'm of the opinion that the Pulse should have been called the PST III or PST 300. Since you receive a Rebar if you send in an irreparable PST, it could have been the PST IV.

Hmmm - I sent in an irreparable PST and they gave me a Wave instead. Does that make the Wave the PSTIVa?
Cheers!

Hmmm. Interesting. We got a Wave for the PSTII we sent in and I'd read of folks getting Rebars for PST. So, scissors tool for scissors tool, I thought. I wonder why they would give out a hundred dollar tool when people seemed happy with the 60 dollar tool...
