Pitching for a new TV Cop Show: Fags and Muzzy

"Now there's a BRILLIANT title (excellent pic by the way) for an exciting fast paced maverick police/detective show... like Starsky and Hutch!!! I hear the theme music now..."

So, I'm pitching Fags and Muzzy as a gritty but warm TV Cop show.

Set in the fictional town of Middenmarket it charts day to day life for two inextricably linked but incomprehensibly different policemen. Think Cagney and Lacey but with less glamour and more bucolic.

Fags Carter is a gnarly Detective with a difficult home life and a wife who regularly threatens him with The Lasso of Truth. He is struggling to adjust to Vaping in the midden age.

Muzzy Prince is a warm hearted Detective with a drink problem who regularly mislays his kit in the fields outside his home.

I'm thinking of casting Magentus as Carter and Fuzzbucket as Prince but I'm interested in casting a few support characters. I'm hoping to cast a fatherly desk Sergeant (think Hill Street Blues but with a farming theme) and some other support characters.

Any takers?

Madam Cholet could be the love interest who stretches the bonds of friendship to breaking point before Fags steps aside allowing Muzzy and Madam Cholet to get married (will need a CGI budget for that) and when they have a kid that could be played by  Pabs as well.  This will suggest that huggy bear is the real father and had an affair with Madam Cholet before his brutal murder. That opens the way for a heartbreaking scene where Fags talks Muzzy down from the window ledge and they become partners again.
