So the list so far is
Poncho
Twiliter
Grant
Pablo
And all the people in the MTO derailing jail :tu:

;)

Would have to depend on work schedule :salute: :D

Does sound fun :tu: I am in the Middle/East Tennessee area :tu:

I didn't know there was a Tennessee in the Middle East....

My geography must be worse than I thought.

Def

Yes, it is way worse than you thought :pok:

 :D

Don’t feel bad, I thought Utah was on the Canadian border like Montana.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

I'm sure this would be fun but I'm typically short on funds and I have a vehicle that I don't trust to drive more than a couple of hours.  You can put me on the interested list but I won't commit until the when and where has been worked out.

Seems like GA may be a good state as it is in the middle of the others, but then again this is where I live so i may be biased we could do far north GA, close enough to poncho and pretty much the middle of the SE.

I thought the same thing. I drive to Atlanta once in a while with my buddies to go to Medieval Times. I also have driven non-stop NYC to Alabama many times when I lived there.  :ahhh

We could also see if any of us are in between the drive of other members and do some kind of car pool if need be.

Possibly some of us could catch a bus. MegaBus and Greyhound run to ATL from tons of locations. Several of us could then rent a car from ATL to go to North Georgia. Megabus tickets are dirt cheap in the fall too. I've gotten a ticket ATL to MTG for $12 before.

Just some ideas to throw around.  :)

Now the difficult part; when would be a good time?

I can take off work most days I want to, so I'm flexible as to when.

How is everyone else's schedule? Maybe there is a place of free time overlap for most of us?

Friday-Monday works best for me until mid December, then my schedule changes. How soon do we want to do it?

I hope you guys can make it work.  :tu: I don't think there's been a US meet with more than three members of the forum yet.

I agree.

I'm watching this thread. If fate rolls the dice in my favor I may try to make it. Spring would be better for me, but I'll see how things roll. C'mon lucky Seven!

I am fine with doing Spring or even summer! I just will not know my spring schedule for a couple of months. I do know that weekends should be somewhat free.

I would prefer to have a meet when it isn't hot with mosquitoes abound. But, if need be, I could handle a couple of days in the heat. :)

That would be my preference as well but if more people can come in the hot months I am open to it.

It would definately have to be next year and preferably after school lets out around mid June.  Danni is a 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science teacher and I won't go to near Georgia with out her.  It's just to special a place for the two of us.  So for us it's June, July, or August.

My schedule will theoretically open up after the school year as well, as I’m a college senior and have had a full time job with some flexibility for over three years that I plan on keeping,

Chako's coming too.  :woohoo: :woohoo:
With both of your collections in one place we'll need a bigger venue.  :ahhh
I guess we could have the meet here in Texas. :tu:
We MIGHT be able to find the space you two would need... :pok: :pok:

This should work for Chako; https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mack_Titan

I'd only need a regular 18 wheeler.  :D

I wonder, is it possible, just maybe... naw, don't think so, worth asking, probably should, OK, Ok.

Dose anyone know what effect having all the weight of those two collections in the same place would have on the Earth's axis? :dunno:

There are five members(I know of or suspect) with considerably(or incredibly) larger collections than mine, but some of them don't let on. All the processed steel from transposed iron ore being concentrated in a few places, as MT collections, might pose a risk to the Earth's axis.  :D

I do still think GA would be the best place to have a meet, but wouldn't rule out Texas, if need be. I would need to rent a conveyance to get to Texas though, since my vehicle is a POS. :ahhh
