I just want to make sure everyone knows about the Megabus. Their tickets are pretty cheap and with a transfer or two, they will end up where you need.  :)

Yep.  I noticed you list Bear and Sons as one of your collections.  :tu:
I don't have any yet, but I've been looking at them since I found out they're made in Alabama.

Cool! Bear & Sons are one of the last brand named MTs that have that 'hand-finished' look and slightly crude (but in a charming way) feel. The MTs are tough as hell and work well. The Super Bear Jaws has one of the best plier heads of any MT maker.  Their customer service is great too. I have about ten of their MTs and a bunch of their knives. :)

I can bring some Bear MTs whenever we have the SE meetup.

if you can bear the entire load of tools and the weight, instead of bringing just one to cover the bear necessities and basics
that sounds like a good way to let other members see and feel them in hand, :salute: and possibly try them out   :tu:

Bear is a cool company that was briefly owned by Victorinox (Ken Griffey tells a wonderful story of how he chased the Swiss out of Alabama to gloriously reclaim Bear) and before that they manufactured components for Leatherman.  Further, there is an unconfirmed story (also from the Big Bear) about how when they launched the Bear Jaws and Tim Leatherman saw the reversed handles and outside opening tools he turned to then-designer Ben Rivera and asked "Why didn't you think of that?"

Pointless info, but fun nonetheless.  :D

I love Bear tools.  I just wish the folks at Bear Cutlery did as well.

Like I said, my schedule is pretty flexible, since I can take a couple of days off when need be. It's the rest of y'all that need to come up with a time/date. :D

This fool could probably make it if it was the in southeast, and spring or summer.  I would have to know far enough in advance to get off work.  South Carolina here.

Looks like this was mostly being talked about over a year ago...

Did anything ever get worked out?

I'd be interested in a US meet up in the SouthWest area.  Not sure how many other members are anywhere near this part of the country.

I'd love to attend a meet-up/GTG.   I'd be more interested in SAKs than multitools, but if it were in the neighborhood I'd attend either.  But you're in the SW, King Gorilla, and  I'm in the Great Lakes basin....  Meet in Nebraska maybe?   ;)
